Before we get into this St. Patrick's Day recipe, we have a long-winded story full of keywords and ads that will fill you to the brim with rage to get through.
My grandma was Irish, and she made all sorts of delicious treats.
Mashed potatoes...
Whole-roasted cabbage...

Boiled potatoes...
Boiled cabbage...
Colcannon (potatoes and cabbage)...

Cabbage chowder...
Potato this...
Potato that...
<insert 1200 unskippable video ads here>
Po-tahh-to this...
Po-tayerter that...

But, by far, my favorite recipe that she passed down to me was this Irish Classic.

It only uses THREE ingredients! Potatoes, Cabbage, and Nothing else.

So, let's get to it!
Okay, now let's get to it.

Irish Potatoes & Cabbage
Ingredients:
Potatoes
Cabbage
Nothing Else
Instructions:
Prepare your potatoes and cabbage by placing them on the counter. You won't even use salt and pepper or water. Don't use utensils either! This is POTATOES AND CABBAGE ONLY. If you need to cut something, strike the potatoes against each other until you've yielded a knife, which you can then use to cut, dice, slice, and purée the other ingredient(s).
That's it! You're ready to go.
Serve with potatoes or cabbage.
Be sure to share a picture of your St. Paddy's Day creations and tag us in them on Instagram! But do NOT, under any circumstances, share them with any "tweaks" or "liberties" that you've taken to change the recipe.
See? That was worth the read/wait/ads after all. ;)
